In the mid 1990s, our founder Jud Boies owned a company that had high turnover rates. Study after study made it blatantly clear that the company was not providing what people wanted most in the workplace (it wasn’t the paycheck). They wanted to enjoy the people they worked with, to use their skills to produce something of value and to work for a company that exuded integrity. Mr. Boies became passionate and obsessed with putting in place systems and programs that made those three things listed on every study a top priority in his company – and it changed everything. So much so that employees encouraged other employers to deploy the concepts in their companies – which ultimately led to Boies selling the company and teaching the program to companies around the world ever since.
